Members of the Exmouth Horse and Pony Club are to benefit from some State Government funding.
The $1,600 grant from the Sports Lottery Fund Country Package was announced by Sport and Recreation Minister Norman Moore.
Mr Moore said the grant would help the club with a number of projects, including:
the running of a coaching school and rider examinations;
a Level 1 instructors course;
horsemanship workshops;
participation in the Gascoyne Games; and -
membership to Active Australia.
“I am delighted that the State Government has been able to help,” the Minister said.
“It is important to focus not just on players, but on officials, coaches and umpires as well.
“This will enable people, particularly country people, to make the most of their sporting and recreational opportunities.”
The Sports Lottery Fund Country Package is a Ministry of Sport and Recreation initiative.
