Queen’s Counsel Peter Jooste has been appointed the new chairman of the Finance Brokers Supervisory Board.

“The Government has moved quickly to appoint a new chairman who will be responsible for improving the practices and procedures of the board as recommended by the Gunning Inquiry,” Mr Shave said.

“Mr Jooste has accepted a term as chairman until April 2002 and will take up the position as soon as possible. His wide experience and qualifications make him well equipped for this task.”
