Energy Minister Colin Barnett is delighted with the way the AlintaGas public offer is proceeding.
Mr Barnett said today applications started to flow into the processing centre on Wednesday.
He said today there were 88 million securities offered in the initial public offer.
“I understand the 22 million securities set aside for the clients of the Western Australian joint lead managers and co-managers to the issue have been fully allocated,” Mr Barnett said.
“We are very comfortable with the up to 22 million securities which have been earmarked for institutions.”
Mr Barnett said the balance of the securities had been offered to the WA public and applications were flowing in.
He said it was still early days but people should be aware the offer could be closed early.
The AlintaGas offer opened on Monday and as far as was known all of the 2,220,000 people who pre-registered had received a public offer document and priority registration form by Wednesday.
Despite the size of the document and the complexity of printing, binding, assembling and mailing 220,000 individually addressed and bar-coded packages, this was completed ahead of schedule.
