    Extension for Gunning Inquiry

    17/07/2000 6:05 PM

State Cabinet has agreed to extend the reporting time of the Gunning Inquiry into a number of boards and committees covered by the Fair Trading portfolio.

Fair Trading Minister Doug Shave said the extension follows a request by the Inquiry but does not apply to its investigations into the Finance Brokers Supervisory Board.

“The Inquiry will still produce its report on that matter by September 1,” Mr Shave said.

“However, a report on the remaining boards and committees will now be due no later than December 15, 2000.”
