Fair Trading Minister Doug Shave has reminded shoppers that they will have extra hours in which to finish their festive shopping in the week before Christmas.

“All shops in the Perth metropolitan area can open tomorrow (Sunday 19),” Mr Shave said.

“In addition to being open on Monday and Christmas Eve, shops will be open late on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.”

After Christmas all shops can open on the December 28 (Tuesday) and January 3 (Monday) public holidays.

“The extra hours give retailers and shoppers plenty of opportunities before Christmas and to make the most of the post-Christmas sales,” Mr Shave said.

“They also mean shop staff can enjoy Christmas and New Year Eve celebrations with families and friends.”

Trading hours for Christmas and New Year for the Perth metropolitan area are:
