The Mirrabooka Bus Station is to be upgraded and access improved as part of the State Government's Better Public Transport Plan.
Transport Minister Eric Charlton said the $151,858 contract had been let to Charnley Brice Pty Ltd.
"The State Government is determined to provide the best possible public transport system and this applies to facilities as well as bus standards and services," Mr Charlton said.
"As part of the refurbishment we will be providing a larger kiosk, toilet facilities for the disabled and better lighting which will improve security and safety for passengers."
"We are also going to upgrade the garden landscaping so that Mirrabooka Bus Station will become a bright, attractive and friendly place in keeping with the modern progressive image we are seeking for Transperth services," he said.
Mr Charlton said vehicle and pedestrian access would be improved by closing the current bus entry off Ilkerston Place and using the Chesterfield Road entry.
