Assisting Justice Minister Kevin Minson said today the report on the Camp Kurli Murri pilot project had been handed to him and was now under consideration by the Ministry of Justice and the Government.
"The report was handed over by Judge Newman, as he promised, at the end of July - not six weeks ago as was reported yesterday," Mr Minson said.
"Judge Newman has handed in a comprehensive report covering a wide range of issues.
"The 132-page document contains a number of recommendations on both the camp model and juvenile offenders which will all be taken into consideration during the report's evaluation."
Mr Minson said the report would not be released until it and any recommendations by the Ministry had gone before Cabinet.
"This could take some weeks to complete."
