Services Minister Kevin Minson today announced a review of regional government supply policies in the Mid-West.
Mr Minson said the State Supply Commission would undertake the review which aimed at increasing the level of purchasing by Government agencies in regional areas.
"The commission will look closely at the effectiveness of the Government's supply policies which support industry, local business and employment in the regions," he said.
"It will begin by examining services in the Mid-West and this will be used as a model for other regions across Western Australia."
The Minister said the review would involve extensive consultation with industry, suppliers, agencies and local government representatives.
