Emergency Services Minister Bob Wiese today dismissed calls by a retiring brigade officer for the Chief Executive Officer Chester Burton to be sacked.
Mr Wiese said it was totally inappropriate to `point the finger' at any one person and many issues raised by Kalgoorlie District Officer Frank Roberts were inaccurate.
"I have met with representatives of the United Firefighters' Union and the Fire Brigades' Volunteer Association and through these informative and positive discussions they have aired their concerns," he said.
"To address a number of issues, I have announced a review of the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Officer and their relationship to the WA Fire Brigades' Board.
"Until such time as the review is completed it is not appropriate to make further comment."
