Owners of properties on the State Register of Heritage Places across Western Australia are invited to apply for a share in up to $1million in this year’s Heritage Grants Program.
Heritage Minister Michelle Roberts said the program helped private owners to conserve heritage sites.
“Grants of $20,000 or more are available to assist owners with conservation works and $3,000 or more to help in the development of conservation plans,” Mrs Roberts said.
“Priority is given to projects where urgent conservation works are required.”
The Minister said this was the 11th round of the Heritage Grants Program, which to date had provided about $9million in grants to 510 projects.
There were currently 1,247 places on the State Register including buildings, monuments, industrial structures, precincts, jetties and cemeteries.
Grant applications close at 4pm Friday, June 20.
