The remuneration of Western Power managing director Doug Aberle for 2006-07 has been finalised.
Energy Minister Francis Logan today said that the Western Power board had agreed to his view of the calculation of Mr Aberle’s incentive payment.
As a result, Mr Aberle’s incentive payment had been reduced to $99,854.
Mr Logan said he was also pleased the board had agreed to include an increased focus on electricity reliability issues in Mr Aberle’s key performance indicators (KPIs) for 2007-08.
“The people of Western Australia rightly demand that Western Power deliver a reliable energy supply,” the Minister said.
“As the people’s representative, I have the job of making sure these demands are carried out to the best of Western Power’s ability.
“I am looking forward to continuing to work with Mr Aberle on improving electricity reliability through the biggest capital works program ever undertaken on electricity infrastructure in this State.”
