    • New campaign urges all eligible WA seniors to access exclusive discounts
    • Upgrades to WA Seniors Card website making it easier to explore benefits

A new public awareness campaign is encouraging all West Australian seniors to take full advantage of the Liberal National Government's expanding Seniors Card business discount directory.

Seniors and Volunteering Minister Paul Miles today announced a new partnership with Vodafone to offer one month of free access on selected mobile plans, as part of a renewed push to secure further discounts for seniors to help with everyday living costs.

"The WA Seniors Card program is the most generous of its kind in Australia," Mr Miles said.

"We are delighted that more than 600 business partners have already joined the online discount directory, offering our members exclusive access to a range of generous benefits and discounts.

"The State Government is working hard to expand these offerings and to ensure all eligible seniors benefit from them, in recognition of their valuable contributions to WA."

The Minister said recent improvements to the WA Seniors Card website would also make it easier to access information on available discounts.

New features include an easy-to-use online discount directory, allowing members to search for discounts based on location, using their mobile or tablet; save favourites and be the first to access members' only offers.

Business partners will be able to propose new discounts, special offers and competition prizes directly on the website, enabling discounts to be responsive to members' needs.

"More and more seniors are using the website to access information, with nearly 150,000 visits since it was launched in November 2015," Mr Miles said.

"We are listening and delivering on what our seniors want."
