- Sports including tennis, touch football, netball and basketball will benefit
Regional sporting groups will share in $622,500 as part of the Liberal National Government's Regional Organisational Sustainability Program.
Sport and Recreation Minister Mia Davies said the funding helped sporting associations and peak bodies to create active regional communities.
"Regional sporting groups are essential in building stronger and more vibrant communities," Ms Davies said.
"This funding ensures grassroots sporting groups are sustainable for their members and that all West Australians have access to quality sport and recreation opportunities."
Organisations benefiting from this funding round include the Great Southern Tennis Association, Goldfields Regional Cricket Board, Broome Touch Football Association, South West Cycle Club Inc, Central Districts Tennis Association and the Northern Zone of the Pony Club Association of WA.
These funds help sporting groups develop governance systems, provide access to competition opportunities for regional participants while also assisting in supporting coaches, officials and volunteers within regional sport.
The program is administered by the Department of Sport and Recreation.
