Elizabeth Quay's newest destination dining experience, Isle of Voyage will open in the restored Florence Hummerston Kiosk tomorrow.

Planning Minister Donna Faragher said Isle of Voyage was an exciting new venue, the fourth food and beverage outlet to open at Elizabeth Quay, and an important step in the precinct's evolution as one of Perth's premier dining and entertainment locations.

"Elizabeth Quay is a major visitor destination - with a fantastic program of events and attractions to keep visitors entertained - that is rapidly becoming a significant economic driver for Western Australia," Mrs Faragher said.

"It is returning unprecedented benefits through land sales and tourism attractions - generating opportunities for small businesses and creating thousands of jobs, not only during construction but in future permanent hospitality jobs."

Isle of Voyage and the other dining operators at Elizabeth Quay - V Burger Bar, Gusto Gelato and The Reveley - can currently cater for more than 600 patrons and all have reported strong trade since opening.

A number of hotels will be built in and around Elizabeth Quay with two currently under construction -The Ritz-Carlton and the DoubleTree by Hilton - and two at the planning stage.

"Each of these hotels will provide new job opportunities both during construction but also in Perth's growing tourism and hospitality sector.  Combined they will offer more than 700 hotel rooms and thousands of jobs," the Minister said.

"This is part of the future of Perth's hospitality industry with more than $1 billion in private sector investment so far."
