The State Government has called for nominations for the Aboriginal Lands Trust (ALT).
Aboriginal Affairs Minister Peter Collier said the Trust was responsible for providing advice to him on Aboriginal land issues impacting on the Trust estate.
This includes sustaining cultural and economic value, improving the management of the estate and optimising Government investment.
"The Trust is a significant landholder with responsibility for about 10 per cent of the State's land mass," Mr Collier said.
"A key focus of the Trust will be reforming land tenure in accordance with strategic land use planning goals and the aspirations of native title holders, Aboriginal residents and service providers.
"Applicants with knowledge of, or experience in housing, business development, and land planning and management will be strongly considered."
An important function for the Trust is to strengthen partnerships across key land administration, planning, housing and service delivery agencies.
There are four positions available, each with a four-year term of appointment.
