    • 10 light industrial lots released in Stage 3A
    • Purchasers also have first chance to buy residential land

LandCorp aims to attract new businesses to Newman with the latest release of light industrial land in the Pilbara town.

Purchasers in Stage 3A of Newman’s Light Industrial Area (LIA) will also have the first opportunity to buy a residential lot in the upcoming release at East Newman Estate.

Regional Development and Lands Minister Brendon Grylls said this initiative would give small to medium business owners the chance to live and work in Newman as the town continued to benefit from unprecedented growth.

“With iron ore operations going from strength to strength and the investment in the community through the State Government’s Pilbara Cities initiative, the pace of growth in Newman continues to accelerate,” Mr Grylls said.

“This latest release opens up 10 new opportunities for businesses to service the region and adds to the economic diversity of the town.”

The lots are suitable for a variety of businesses including building, construction, automotive and mining equipment providers.

With good access to major transport links, including the Great Northern Highway, the site is 1.5km from the town centre.

Ranging in size from 2,013sqm to 2,531sqm, lot prices range from $525,000 to $750,000.

The Minister said the planned residential release at East Newman Estate would include 50 house and land packages and single lots that would be set aside for LIA purchasers and the Department of Housing.
