- Three new members appointed
Small Business Minister Simon O’Brien has announced the appointment of three new members to the board of the Small Business Development Corporation (SBDC), and the re-appointment of three existing members.
Jeff Healy, Sonia McKeiver and Steven Dobson have been appointed for three-year terms, while existing board members Ray Mountney (chair), Kitty Prodonovich and Mark Irwin have been re-appointed for two-year terms. Current board member Brent Pollard will retire from the board on September 30, 2012 leaving a regional member to be appointed.
“I am looking forward to working with the new board, and SBDC’s new CEO David Eaton, as we enhance the services we provide to support the small business sector,” Mr O’Brien said.
“The new appointments to the board will increase its skills and experience and help lead the SBDC into the future.”
Details of new board members:
- Jeff Healy, founder and owner of a niche marketing consultancy in Perth specializing in direct marketing. Jeff has had an extensive career in sales, marketing and retail including a period with Australia Post as change management lead, State retail manager and marketing manager
- Sonia McKeiver has a strong background in law, economics and finance having graduated from the University of Queensland, Darwin campus. Sonia’s career to date includes compliance officer with the Financial Services Authority in London and case manager with the Financial Ombudsman Service in Melbourne
- Steven Dobson, partner and senior financial planner in a family operated business. Steven has more than 12 years’ experience in corporate financial planning, particularly for small and medium-sized businesses. He has a Master of Business Administration from Murdoch University and strong community experience as chair of the Management Committee at the Jandakot Volunteer Bushfire Brigade and board member of the Kids are Kids Therapy and Education Centre.
