The new Mirrabooka bus station pavilion opened to the public today.
Transport Minister Simon O’Brien said the new facility offered improved amenity for Transperth passengers.
“The pavilion, which is part of the bus station’s $5million redevelopment, includes public toilets, new lighting, surveillance systems and a new kiosk,” Mr O’Brien said.
“The previous building, which has been demolished, was built in the 1970s and no longer met the needs of the community.
“Work around the station will continue with final completion expected in May next year.”
The Mirrabooka station upgrade is part of the Mirrabooka Regional Centre Improvement Strategy.
